I registered on this website just to write this comment. I've been stuck with the SP1 Error: 800F0826 since SP1 came out, and it's caused me a major headache for the past year.

The first page of this thread resolved my issue, after over 13 hours of other debugging tools.

This worked for me:
1. Chkdsk
2. System Scan (And in other forums, they've recommended repeated scans, up to 3 in a row)
3. Tweak tools (from page 1) -> Running all 30 fixes in order, a reboot between them, in SafeMode.

I recommend anyone else getting the 800F0826 to go back to page 1 of this thread, and rerun all steps. Yay!

I attempted the clean boot but then windows updates wouldn't run since the service was disabled so reenabled it under services and also didn't have a network connection and attempted to reenable the wlan service and that didn't work.

So now I ran system scan a couple times and it didnt find anything. Im now running the tweat tool again with all 30 tests. This will be the first time running it after the OS repair.

FYI under optional updates it shows IE 8, 9, 10, and 11. When they failed I ended up installing IE 11 manually from the web. After it installed I rebooted and selected check for updates. Under optional it still shows IE 8, 9, 10, and 11. So then I tried to just install all the optional updates again and it successfully installed IE 8 on the machine and got rid of IE 11. Now under the optional updates it shows IE 9, 10, and 11.

Any other thoughts or will I just have to wipe this thing clean?? I'll what happens after the Tweak Tool finishes.

I just ran HDD Regenerator for the hell of it and 1 bad sector found and repaired so for and its at 23%. I'll post results when its finished. It's strange because I ran chkdsk a couple weeks ago from the start and it came back clean.

1 bad sector that was repaired. Any suggestions?

System HDD Diags passed. I also reformatted the drive with a fresh copy of win7 home premium x64. All updates installed. What's your feeling on the drive? Should it be replaced or I might be ok?
