Windows 7 Build 7601 License not genuine - extremely slow on startup

    Hi,

Last few days my computer has been extremely slow on startup. Boots up fine, then takes 10 minutes where it will take commands from my mouse but won't actually load anything and then later on will go back to normal-ish speed (I think it's a bit more spiky but could just be me). Yesterday I noticed a message pop up on bottom right hand corner of my desktop telling me that my windows copy wasn't genuine build 7601. I know for a fact my windows licence is genuine as I bought it off ebuyer when I built this computer a couple years ago. I've run AVG, Malwarebytes, Spybot S & D and SuperAntiSpyware to try and get rid of the main virus. The only thing i've achieved is that the message is gone but startup is still slow.

Any help is much appreciated! My paste from MGAdiag is below.

There is no obvious error in your report - Windows shows as being genuine and activated.
There are a couple of really nasty pieces of work around at the moment, which many AVs have problems getting rid of.
I suggest downloading Windows Defender Offline and creating the boot disk or USB stick, and running that - see if it finds anything.

    Hi,

No luck with the windows defender offline :/

Think I should just wait it out until the AV softwares figure it out?

Just reading through many post I have noticed many are having problems with Spybot S & D on their systems.

    What does this mean.

No luck with the windows defender offline :/
    Could you download it?
Could you burn it to DVD/CD?
Could you update and run it?
Did you run it and found nothing?

How slow is a slow Startup?
Many things can cause a slow startup even when a system is properly activated.

Because your activation problem is solved I recommend starting a new thread here for your slow Startup.

    It ran and found nothing.

On startup it gets to desktop fine and everything runs at normal speed for about a minute and then as if a programme turns on taking up huge memory (on task manager processes tab it shows nothing) everything runs super slow for about 10 minutes and then it goes back to normal speed again.

Is there anyway I can move the entire thread over to the performance-maintenance section?
