Not Genuine after Dec. patch - SOLUTION from MS
Just got off the phone with "James" at MS tech support, re: Windows Not Genuine issue after December patches.
We discussed this issue at some length and he confirmed:
- Some people have this issue after the Dec. patch
- The patch for the patch does not always work
- On line activation (reactivation) attempt will NOT work
- James stated the ONLY method to "fix" is to do a PHONE ACTIVATION.
- He also stated that MS does not know the cause (yet).
- He approved my posting this information to the forum.
I hope the issue doesn't come back - I'll keep the forum updated over the coming week.
