Windows Activation - not running genuine Windows

OK - let's try this one....

    Close all open windows.
Open an Elevated Command Prompt window, and type the following command

    wusa /uninstall /kb:971033

    and hit the Enter key
Accept the warnings/confirmations, and wait for it to complete

copy and paste the output (if any) from the command prompt window to a reply here,
    Reboot

    reinstall the update from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971033
    Reboot

run another MGADiag report, and post it.

Here's my MGADiag report after your suggestion..

It would also be helpful while you are waiting for Noel to fill in your system specs. I ask this because I watch a lot of work done by Noel. I'm not understanding some things in your report and your system specs would help me learn.

    Description: Windows Operating System - Windows(R) 7, OEM_COA_NSLP channel

    SLIC MSI_NB MEGABOOK

Windows License Type: OEM System Builder

    Thank you for your cooperation.

Thanks for the specs. Now we just have to wait for Noel.
He is very busy because of all the problems the last Windows Update has caused.

    (Thanks, Jack!)
As far as I can tell, the advice you quoted in your first post should work - at least to some extent.

You didn't answer the question of which AV you were using, though.

It seems most likely to happen with one or two AV's, while others are OK - and I need more data to know how best to advise the hundreds that I assist directly.
