kb2798162 is that really needed? I see that as a wasted update in my opinion. I wouldn't call it Important though.

Groze is this a chat session or are you trying to fix something?
    Do you have a problem?

Run this tutorial by Bare Foot Kid. If when done and kb2798162 is still there just leave it alone.

Ugh never mind, I know what causes the problem at least I can restore from backup in no time, when I am ready. In the past I never read updates, I just started doing that. What happened is for some strange reason kb2775511 windows catalog update removed the kb2798162 windows update.

    Layback bear,
I am not trying fix anything. It was a rant. I still think kb2798162 is waste of time and space in my opinion. I didn't realize how old that 2798162 was tell Thrashzone sort of pointed that out.

A very old version update to Internet explorer,
Just how out of date and how many updates have you not installed ?
Open internet explorer and click on Gear symbol and About internet explorer or Alt+HA
    Post all of the information
    Cheers.

Didn't anyone read my post? It is caused by kb2775511. I installed kb2775511 then later windows update found kb2798162 listed in the windows update. I just assume it was new. I am going to restore from backup just in case kb2775511 may have removed other updates. There is one other update that is hidden because I have Oem that been pre-activated and that update is not needed.

Being as nice as possible, please, next time you post something or a new thread, be more clear on what you want, people here tries to help, but they are no fortune tellers. Try not to be rude, this is a free assistance forum, and they gladly help, but no one will do it if they get rude comments like "Didn't you read my post?" It's like saying "Are you blind d...?".

Take this just as a friendly tip, that way you can get better assistance

Sorry if I appeared rude, I didn't mean that. I am not like that. I just got done restoring from backups in the process of running windows update to get updated, then going to back up again. However, I hope the kb2798162 old update does not popup this time.

How was or is windows update system showing it as Important/ Recommended or Optional ?
I don't see or have it installed is why I'm asking but I also did a clean install only a month in a half ago too.

You say it's not Important but does Microsoft ?
