    It does indeed look good - try downloading and installing new updates now. - do a Check for Updates first.

    Windows Updates is running fine now and installs updates without errors.

    Q: What is causing these corrupted WUClient files?

    You're welcome.

    There's a multitude of possible scenarios that can cause corrupt/missing files - and without doing detailed forensics it's usually impossible to tell which one is involved here.
    It just never ceases to amaze me how resilient Windows is when you consider its complexity, and the things people do to it with malware, inept programs and registry cleaners etc.
