verification
One of my computers, which is used at the museum where I am a volunteer for the use of all the volunteers came up with verification required to check that the Windows 7 was genuine. Following the instructions seems to satisfy Microsoft that my copy is genuine. The software was bought from a large company selling "intended for distribution with a refurbished PC". The DVD doesn't have a sticker and the arrows line up. Having been caught before, I believe I have a genuine disk. Doe's anyone know why Microsoft would require this check?

Removing that update might not fix your Windows genuine error so phone activation may be required. Here is a thread helping explain Not Genuine after Dec. patch - SOLUTION from MS |
