Final Patch Tuesday of Windows 7 Mainstream support so how did it go

Only had 7 updates this month, 1 for the usual Windows Malicious Software Removal, one was for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 and 5 other security updates related to Windows 7, surprisingly there was no update for IE or no updates for Office 2013 Professional Plus

It went fine. Did all 7 of the updates and rebooted without issue. System had not checked for updates since early this morning, so I had to manually start the search. Also surprised that IE wasn't patched (or so it wasn't listed) in the updates. I didn't look at each of the 5 details to see if IE was buried in any of them. No problems with either user on this machine after the reboot. I did a system image backup last night in preparation for tonight's update.

The malicious software removal tool and the .NET framework 4.5.2 kept coughing up 80072EE2 errors for three hours, and now they're downloading at only 10KB/second. Five others went without a hitch.

Found it something of a relief to have so few updates. Normally dread patch Tuesday and potential side effects but all downloaded and installed without any hitches.

I wait these days to see what the feedback is here, as well as looking at Susan Bradley's Patch Watch recommendations on Windows Secrets. There have been too many system-breaking updates in recent months for immediate installation.

I haven't looked at all seven of the updates offered today but one of them is to do with kernel mode drivers and I'm pretty sure that's the type that has caused the most problems in the past.

I have did all updates on two computer and so far haven't noticed any problems.

I'm thinking that Microsoft is being very careful with this months updates because of the problems so many had with updates last month.

No problems here, granted I never had too many problems before so I can't speak on "all the problems" that everyone talks about. Honestly don't believe I've ever had an issue with Windows Updates hurting my computer, so I guess I'm very lucky lol
