I have a few computers being flagged with the following vulnerability:
(MS14-024) Microsoft Common Control ASLR Security Bypass (2961033)
All attempts to download and install the patch is failing with error:
"The expected version of the product was not found on the system"
All computers are Win7 running Office 2010 32bit.
Anyone seen this or have any suggestions?
Are experts will need this tutorial done in order to give advice.
Windows Update Posting Instructions
No I'm not one of the experts.
1. Downloaded and ran SURT.
2. Ran SFC Scan and it appeared to detect and fix somethings.
3. The only error message I get is: "The expected version of the product was not found on the system"
This is done by manually installing the patch. We do not use Windows Update. We block that at our company.
Patches are pushed via SCCM.
4. Can not attach CBS log looks like file size to big.
I'm no expert on these kinds of things but I do have a question.
Have you contacted your company I.T. department with your problem?
Because our experts are in different parts of the world and very busy some times you will have a wait period.
I am the IT Dept who has exhausted his resources...
In that case delete the older CBSPersist files until the compressed filesize is below 8MB and upload the result
