I've uploaded a file - slpaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder slpaa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be one folder inside it (Manifests)
Copy the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:
C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests
Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)
Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.
I'm do it. In archive - ChekSUR.log and CheckSUR.persist.log. There is still containts errors and KB2943357 cannot be installed with error code 0x80073712
In update install log there is an error 2147956498 - "Component store corrupted"
Sorry for my terrible English
Here's the list of items that the system couldn't repair, despite having the files available.
This is caused by corruption in the registry - which may or may not be repairable.Code:Unavailable repair files: winsxs\manifests\msil_smsvchost.resources_b03f5f7f11d50a3a_6.1.7601.22733_ru-ru_0110a80768b1b8ed.manifest winsxs\manifests\msil_system.servicemodel.resources_b77a5c561934e089_6.1.7601.18523_ru-ru_74761edf3be633ba.manifest winsxs\manifests\msil_system.identitymodel.resources_b77a5c561934e089_6.1.7601.22733_ru-ru_0fc64dbd87c78ed9.manifest winsxs\manifests\msil_system.runtime.serialization.resources_b77a5c561934e089_6.1.7601.22733_ru-ru_c6d982275eafb6d4.manifest winsxs\manifests\msil_smdiagnostics.resources_b77a5c561934e089_6.1.7601.22733_ru-ru_80f6acdeddfd3871.manifest winsxs\manifests\msil_smsvchost.resources_b03f5f7f11d50a3a_6.1.7601.18523_ru-ru_17dd4ea14f0b3f3f.manifest winsxs\manifests\msil_microsoft.transacti..ridge.dtc.resources_b03f5f7f11d50a3a_6.1.7601.18523_ru-ru_5393df17f523bcd4.manifest winsxs\manifests\msil_microsoft.transacti..ridge.dtc.resources_b03f5f7f11d50a3a_6.1.7601.22733_ru-ru_3cc7387e0eca3682.manifest winsxs\manifests\msil_system.servicemodel.resources_b77a5c561934e089_6.1.7601.22733_ru-ru_5da97845558cad68.manifest
Let's have a look at the relevant registry hive...
I need to have a look at your COMPONENTS registry hive
Please copy the C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS file (no extension) to your desktop and then compress it - upload the compressed file to your favoured fileshare site (preferably Dropbox or OneDrive) and post a link.
Thank you for quickly replies!
Link to COMPONENTS hive
I've checked out one of the files, and I can't see any error in the data where I was expecting to.
The file I uploaded has the correct S256H hash - so should be acceptable. I'll ask around and see if anyone I know has a better idea than I do, what's happening!
Glad I asked before attempting to 'fix' it! - turns out that one of my assumptions was wrong.
I'll upload a new fix protocol in a few minutes.
Here we go....
I've uploaded a file - splab.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder splab in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be one folder inside it (Manifests)
Copy the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:
C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests
(it may say the files are already present - please click OK to overwrite them)
Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)
Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.
