    Dell studio1535 freezes on startup didnt finish windows 7 install.


    Tried to install win 8 on disk but always freezes before completion. Help.

    The title of your post is not consistent with its contents. If the problem is with a computer that has Windows 7 on it, and you are not trying to upgrade it to Windows 8, please explain in more detail what the problem relates to. If the computer has Windows 8 on it or you are trying to upgrade to that OS then please follow Noel's advice and post details of the problem on the Windows 8 forum. Either way, you need to give a lot more detail about the problem, no-one will have a clue from what you've said so far what the issue relates to.

    I need to know what state your system is currently in - can you access Windows 7 at all in either Normal or Safe Mode?

    There is no such machine as a 'Dell Gateway' - if it's a Dell, what is the Service Tag code? If it's a Gateway, what is the exact model number?
