Download the Windows Update Agent installer from here - http://download.windowsupdate.com/windowsupdate/redist/standalone/7.6.7600.320/WindowsUpdateAgent-7.6-x64.exe

    Save it to your desktop

Once downloaded, open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following command

    %userprofile%\desktop\WindowsUpdateAgent-7.6-x64.exe /wuforce

This should force the Udate Agent to install over the top of the current partially-installed one.
    Once complete, reboot TWICE,
    then try Windows Update again.
