    3 Windows Updates Fail with error code 80070490


    The following three updates fail with the same error code (80070490):
    KB3031432
    KB3004375
    KB3004394

    I already used SURT and SFC Scan, but didn't any errors and didn't fix the issue. Sorry I had to split the CBS logs due to the 8 Mbyte limit.

    Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data

    If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

    Please also post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file


    - you didn't post the CheckSUR log?

    Sorry for the inconvinience. The CheckSUR was in the CbsPersist.zip, but I uploaded the file again as you requested with the oldest CBSPersist.cap removed and posted seperately (all other files of the CBS folder are inside CBS.zip). You'll also find the windowsupdate.log file here.

Windows Update Error Code 490 & 80070490

Hi I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this windows update problem. The pop up message said it was an error code of 80070490, but when I cancel that the main windows update window says Error code 490. 258617 Please see the attached cbs folder. Thanks 258610
