    Windows Update Failed Error 800B0100

    Hello,
I have been having problems installing 4 Important Security Updates and 3 optional updates onto my machine. I have tried to install them several times since they was released, but every time I get the same Error Code: 800B0100. They are the following:

    Important:
    - Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3021952)
    - Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3004375)
    - Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3023562)
    - Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3031432)

    Optional:
    - Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2574819)
    - Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2592687)
    - Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2830477)

I have followed the steps from your "Windows Update Posting Instructions", and I have attached the logs to the thread as well. However, the CBS.log will not allow me to read it so I created a new sfcdetails.txt file on my desktop and included it with the zipped folder instead of the true CBS.log file (I hope that is alright). There were also "CbsPersist" Cabinet Files in the Logs/CBS folder which made the zipped file much too large so I did not include them. Let me know if you do need them and I can put them on my google drive and give the link.

    Thanks!

    I've uploaded a file - lbfaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
    Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder lbfaa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be one folder inside it ( Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder
    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

Thank you! I ran the CheckSUR tool and have attached the logs. It looks like the CheckSUR reports the errors fixed but I am not sure if everything is correct in the checkSUR.persist file. I have attached them so a more expert eye can look at it.

The CheckSUR.Persist file is a historical one - and holds all the results of all runs (unless deleted) - it can be useful sometimes in diagnosing weird effects.
Yep - CheckSUR is happy now, and with luck you won't have any more problems with WU.

    Good luck.
