The X:\ drive is the active drive in a Repair Environment - and disappears when the environment is shut down.
Copying to the X:\ drive is therefore sending the files to a black hole.

The correct drive in your command would be whichever one shows all the folders in the C:\ drive - you seem to have made a copy of the tt1ab folder in the G:\ drive, which translates to the D: drive in the Repair environment.

This means that you copied from the G:\ drive to a subfolder in the G:\drive - which for whatever reason, doesn't appear in the screenshots.

Check that the drive found for the tt1ab folder has the Volume Name 'Windows' and NOT 'SSD' then adjust the command accordingly.

So I ran into another problem tonight, it gets better and better:

As I said, I could NOT find the correct drive in the repair environment. I also noticed that the dialog before choosing the command prompt did not show a windows installation.

I tried a DIR command on every letter in the alphabet, but could not find the right drive.
So I tried to install new drivers for my hard disk, but they were up to date.

Turns out, that the Repair Environment does not have the correct drivers for my windows drive.
To clarify: The drive windows is installed on is a OCZ Revodrive, a PCIe drive.

I attached a chat log with someone from OCZ support.

So I had to make a repair DVD (How To Create a Windows 7 System Repair Disc [Easy]), so I could make an ISO image with a program called NTLite.
Then I should insert the drivers into this image, and burn it onto a DVD again. Which does NOT work.

So that is were I'm stuck now. I don't suppose you have any knowledge of this software called NTLite?

So, burning the driver "injected" ISO still has not worked jet, so I will try the same procedure with the windows installation disk tonight.

But I was wondering, should it be possible to copy those files with Linux? It should not be too difficult making a bootable ubuntu CD..

Nevermind, I just fixed it! I ripped my windows 7 installation DVD and used a USB stick to boot from the ISO file with the driver.

(I just noticed the button in the repair environment which said something about loading drivers, I do not want to know if that should have worked, saving me three evenings of frustration )

Anyways, I attached the CBS.log file to this reply!

Here's the error from your SFC scan...
    Code:

    Hello,

Did you find some time for the fix protocol yet?

    Thanks in advance!

Sorry about that - I got overtaken by events!

    Anyhow, here we are...

Please download SFCFix from here... http://www.sysnative.com/niemiro/apps/SFCFix.exe and save it to your desktop (we'll need it later)

    I've uploaded a file - SFCFix.zip - to my OneDrive at https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=936736BB8FCEB92F!2026&authkey=!AOwaOc7D0E9jjug&ithint=file%2czip
Please download and save it to the desktop.

Now drag the SFCFix.zip file over onto the SFCFix.exe file - this should force SFCFix to run the file
It will create a new log file - please upload that.

Now run the SFC /SCANNOW again
    Post the new CBS.log file

Don't worry! I won't dare to complain, given the hours you have probably put into my problem :)

I attached both log files onto this reply!

    AAAARRRGGGHHH!!
I posted the x64 files, rather than the x86 ones!

I'll try again tomorrow, after I've slept on it!

    SORRY!
