Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2952664)?

    Anyone have this?

Just received this, this morning. Checked my installed updates and it shows successful install on 2/10/15. Haven't run updates cleanup since early January.

Should I install or hide it?

It's an updated version of the Compatibility module - it'll reappear next time it's updated (like Bing used to) if you hide it now.

I take it by your response that it's okay to install?

As a basis for discussion or reasoning, let me be the devils advocate; I know what supersedence is, what would you call "it's an updated version" of a similarly numbered update?

This version is, I think v8 - The KB article relating to it is now at v6, and was updated 24th March.
I already have at least three different versions of the update in my archive
As far as I can tell, it does nothing in respect of Windows 7 itself - it merely is intended to smooth the passage to upgrading to Windows (10?).

Ahhh...the ol' read the KB article under properties to check the versions, now why didn't think of that?
Thanks Noel, as always spot on! Thread solved.
