    This computer is not running genuine windows (0x8004fe21) [Fixed]


    Hi,
    so i had a problem with a PC at that keep coming up with a massage "This computer is not running genuine windows" (0x8004fe21).
    i had been trying to figure out for days now what that could have been.

    After looking at the Diagnostic i knew that it had to do with the "KB3004394" update witch i tried uninstalling but i kept getting an error that it could not fully be uninstalled.

    Then i downloaded the "KB3024777-amd64" witch is Microsofts fix for the "KB3004394" update but when i clicked on it, it would not do anything.

    Then i checked out my windows update and i know this that it was not working.

    Then i researched a few ways on how to make windows update work again, and nothing would work. again!

    I also recently put in new hard drives because that PC is running raid 1 (mirrored) and one of the drives has failed. I remembered that the PC has an old version of "intel rapid storage technology" so i updated it!
    Well after that a bunch of things started working. The computer was doing updates, so i tried running "KB3024777-amd64" and it finally did some thing, it asked me to restart so i did and windows was Genuine again! right after it restarted.
