    Windows Update error code 800B0100

    Hi,

I have had this error for a few weeks and haven't managed to get rid of it. I ran System update readiness tool and Fixit, as well as the Hotfix B947821-v35-x86. Previously Windows update would say it was unable to search for updates, but after a few fixes it began to admit itself needed updating. However trying to do that produces the same error.

Here is the Checksur log, giving these corrupt files:

You neglected to mention that this system is running Vista SP2, rather than Windows 7!

In this case, it doesn't matter too much as all the files involved are the same.

I'll post a fix protocol when I can get through the backlog

    I've uploaded a file - yinaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
    Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder yinaa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be two folders inside it (Manifests, and Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder
    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

Thank you very much, and sorry for omitting the OS. How does this new log look? I'll try running Update again.
