How to I persuade MS that my copy of Windows is genuine?

My laptop keeps telling me that I don't have a genuine copy of Windows 7.

I suspect that this is because I have moved Windows from the original hard disk to a Crucial SSD

When I run WindowsActivationUpdate.exe it fails to install and I get error code 0xC8000247

If I run sfc/scannow there are some unresolved errors. I could post the log file if that would help

Is there a way I can convince MS that my copy of Windows is genuine, aside from a re-install?

The output from MGADiag.exe is shown below.

I have reformatted the original post to tidy it up. Does that do what you want?

    aside from a re-install?

Probably not. You are having errors.

It would be best to do a clean install on the ssd and activate with your key from the COA. If it`s readable.

You shouldn`t have any issues after that.

If KB3004394 is installed, uninstall it, and reboot twice.
Do a Check for Updates, and install the new version of KB3004394, and any other updates.
reboot again, and run a new MGADiag report, and post it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't have KB3004394. Nearly all the updates begin KB2..

Build 10049 of Windows 10 runs fine from another partition. I could not upgrade the W7 partiton because of the license issue.

Is there anyway I can install the W10 disk and sata drivers from the install USB stick I had to make from the esd file on my desktop computer?

This may simply be caused by a bad set of Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers -

Installing the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers
try downloading and installing them from here - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=22194

    (you want the iata_enu.exe download)

Once complete, please reboot twice, then post another MGADiag report.

Thanks very much for your post and for pointing me to the correct Intel driver, 2which I am now using. I did try some Intel driver utility but it never lead to the one you identified. I was unable to do an online verification with Firefox but when I tried IE it was very quick. Getting Windows Update to work was the next battle. I started Windows Defender, and after I got that running Windows update started and is now downloading what is probably a years worth of updates.

So once again thank your for your help.
