Just joined the forum, although I've been following this tread for 4 days - and implemented many solutions but still no working solution.

    Summary:
    I've removed and hidden 2952664; 3021917; and 3035583. Removed 2990214, 3 022345, 3065987.

However, when I have WinUpdate in my usual position (Check for updates but....), I get a notice that Windows 10 is ready to install. Reboot.

No matter how many times I reboot, the message still appears - AND (Thank goodness) nothing is installed.

If I change the WinUpdate to "Never check.... and check manually, the Win10 upgrade notice doesn't appear.

Suggestions? (Other than only check manually now And no, I do not want Win10!
    Try this...
Open up group policy editor >
    Computer Configuration >
    Policies >
    Administrative Templates >
    Windows Components >
    Windows Update

Double Click "Turn off the upgrade to the latest version of Windows through Windows Update", and then click Enabled.
    Reboot or log off.

If you're using a version of Windows 7 without Group Policy Editor, you'll need to do it through a registry tweak

To suppress this offer through the registry, set the following registry key:

    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate

    DWORD: DisableOSUpgrade = 1

Followed the registry suggestion. No luck - Windows Update refused to work at all.

    Her's images of the issue:

Screen1 - if I have WinUpdate set to "Check and let me decide"
Screen2 - if I Have WinUpdate set to "Never check...
Screen 3 - If I actually manually check for updates

Have you deleted the folder the upgrade was downloaded to? I can't remember the exact name but it's in the root of your C: drive and will be named something like Windows~BT or ESD.
Obviously be careful not to delete the wrong folder.
Did you reserve the upgrade through the "Get Windows 10" app?
Sounds like it's either downloaded or you still have one of the updates installed. Be sure to check all the updates on the list have been removed.

Have you got KB3075851 installed? If so, that's another one to remove.

That's the most recent update to the Windows update client.

The GWX folder removed. All recommended updates removed.

I am ready to surrender and only manually update. Sticky on monitor ready.

The download won't be in the GWX folder. Unhide your hidden files and post a screenshot of your C drive.
It sounds like the upgrade already downloaded.
I don't know what else to suggest.

No problem. As long as you hide them and don't install again then it shouldn't prompt you about the upgrade again.
Also, check every month as those "Windows update client" updates are being updated every month it seems now.

Oh joy! Two more Telemetry updates added!

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3080149 ??

Also, the latest Windows update client (August) needs adding to the list:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3075851

Edit: Actually, I'm unsure about the second one, I just noticed it had one file named Telemetry in the list.
