Well, it looks as though I did not have anything enabled. Take a look at this. It still has I have some Win 10 files on my PC. What do I need to do now? == What is the BT Folder?

It's a hidden folder on the OS partition.
The W10 install files are stored in it.

This is what I like to see :)
Although this being home premium I'm not sure what settings it's referring too,
I have to search for optional software I have office outlook
I'll have to check my 7 pro install I did use group policy to enable no upgrading in it and of course culled them out Before they installed

I have hit the "Delete Windows Download Folders" several times but it still shows me as having one. What is the problem with that? == Can I still have Windows Updates automatically installed and GWX will delete them or do I have to manually install them?

You might need to run the program as administrator ?

Use Open BT folder.
You might need to show hidden and or protected system files in folder options.

Today I downloaded the GWX Control Panel. Both my computers were clean, I just needed to disable the OS upgrade. However, on my wife's laptop, it found 5.9 GB of W10 files. I of course used the program to get rid of them, and disable OS upgrade. She came that close to having W10 on her computer, against her will.

Against her will...It occurs to me that this constitutes the cybernetic equivalent of rape. When will it end?

The reason I want to uninstall KB2976978 KB3035583 is NOT because I am paranoid: it is because I want to stop Microsoft continually nagging me to get Windows 10! I tried Windows 10 soon after it was released and I HATED IT and do not want it again until it is made more Desktop user friendly!

I have hidden both KB2976978 KB3035583 and changed my settings to automatically apply IMPORTANT updates only. BUT Microsoft has sneakily changed KB2976978 from optional to IMPORTANT and Windows will NOT allow me to uninstall it, no matter what I try!!!! I think this is despicable behaviour by Microsoft.
I don't want nothing telling me if I want to, or I should, or I could update my perfectly working Windows 7 to Windows 10.
That is why I have already remove them.

When and if I choose to use Windows 10 all I want to do is buy it, install it and use it.
I don't want Microsoft muching with my Windows 7 systems with Windows 10 B/S.
You seem a little angry about it. You could always just hit no when it offers and that is that. Just seems like more of an annoyance to go through and remove the updates when you can simply decline the 10 offer. Just my opinion.
I am not just angry that Microsoft continually offers me the Windows 10 upgrade - I am positively incandescent with rage! Why the hell should we have to KEEP declining the offer, over and over again????!!!! I hid the two KB numbers that were supposed to prevent this Windows 10 upgrade offer on my Windows 8.1 desktop pc - but Microsoft has just installed them again DESPITE the fact that I had hidden them!!!

essex52,
You can only hide a version of an update. New versions will appear again and have to be hidden again.

I have several W7 systems that I support where all updates are installed. MS is honoring (and not changing) the registry settings that tell W7 not to install W10.
