I had 13 security updates, 1 optional for Lonovo. I don't have Lonovo so hid that one.
Installed security updates lost my logitech MX5500 keyboard and mouse.
Read what AddRAM said, imaged the pc back a few days installed all but KB3097877.
Same thing.
This has got to be a ploy to screw W7, I don't want to rev Jeanie up but I think she is right about M$.
Every Tuesday (update day) I do the updates 1 at a time, I write down the number of the update, read it`s description and if I think I need it I install it. Then I reboot. If something goes wrong I know exactly which update caused the problem. it`s a PITA but what else can we do
Wait till Jeannie wakes up. SHE WILL GO MAD
And here is the description for 7877 as it just appeard in windows update again, after I hid it on Tuesday.
So then why did it stop gadgets from running

To learn more about the vulnerability, see Microsoft Security Bulletin MS15-115.
Care to give this new version of the update a try? I did

Too late, you all! I'll spare you the rant and just say I've already hidden the *&^%$#@! thing and tentatively added it to my Specialized High Intensity Training List. Since I don't update until Saturday, it's possible MSpy may have just accidentally made yet another faulty update that will get pulled and fixed, possibly by Saturday. Or the bozos may have deliberately targeted Gadgets as an easy way to block malware getting in through bad, non-MS gadgets. Of course, it's possible the jerks (Mama told me not to use the more appropriate words) are deliberately sabotaging Win 7.
