I've heard about them, but haven't had them offered to me yet.

I'd wait for more info. What I don't understand is that they are supposedly NOT related to security and are considered optional----so why are they so important that they can't wait till Patch Tuesday in May?

I guess there is no harm done then in installing them all? Although I haven't got a Windows phone but an android one its still not harmful to install it for who knows a future I will have a windows phone around.

    Right?

Non-important patches are usually pushed out on the fourth Tuesday of the month, rather than the second Tuesday - and have been for years.
Why this time they are a week early, I'm not sure (maybe someone just misread the calendar?)

I decided to only install 3048761 (memory leak in Desktop Window Manager). Not a good decision! After reboot I got an Access denied message after login and got an almost empty desktop with a very basic(ugly!) GUI. Luckily after uninstalling the update all went back to normal.
I see all of you guys have 64-bit while I don't.
