    Windows Update Cleanup uninstalls updates


       Note
    This affects:
    • Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3021952)
    • Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3004375)
    • Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3031432)

    This also affects important updates:
    • Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3004375)
    • Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3031432)


    When I run Windows Update cleanup I'm being prompted to install these updates again, every time!

    Yeah this is a known problem.
    We're not sure whether it's a problem with the tool, or a problem with the udpates - but MS are aware of it (so I understand) and should be working on a fix.

Is it safe to use the Windows 7 Windows update cleanup ? It shows that I have over 5 GB of space that could be cleaned up. I can't remember where I read it but someone said it could take around an hour to clean up. Just wondering if it is a safe thing to do. thank you
