Cannot validate windows, no avenues work. Please help.

Hello. I purchased Windows 7 online and installed it, and after a few days it started bothering me about validation. I bought it off of Microsoft's website and had no idea it would need a key or other. I can't find where the key would be, so I considered it a lost effort. So when I hit buy a new product key online it takes me to Genuine Microsoft Software, which does not work neither on Internet Explorer, nor Mozilla Firefox. When I try running the programs it gives me, it inevitably ends in an error. If I run legitcheck.hta it says Watweb.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. and when I downloaded the WindowsActivationUpdate, and I hit Continue button on the Genuine Microsoft Software, it tells me Please wait for the install to complete and then click Continue or view the troubleshooting tips. I only get the watweb error on Internet Explorer, on Firefox the page does not go past the continue button. I've no idea what to do at this point so I turn to this forum for help, I'd really appreciate any help anyone could offer. - Sharkie. Trying to post my diagnostic log, one second.....

    Tampered File: %systemroot%\system32\wat\watweb.dll
    Tampered File: %systemroot%\system32\wat\npwatweb.dll

    Close all open windows.
Open an Elevated Command Prompt window, and type the following command

    wusa /uninstall /kb:971033

    and hit the Enter key
Accept the warnings/confirmations, and wait for it to complete

copy and paste the output (if any) from the command prompt window to a reply here,
    Reboot

    reinstall the update from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971033
    Reboot

run another MGADiag report, and post it.

Interesting - you still have problems with the WAT update
    File Mismatch: C:\Windows\system32\wat\watadminsvc.exe[Hr = 0x80092003]
    ...
    ActiveX: Not Registered - 0x800700c1
Admin Service: Not Registered - 0x8007041d
The last (Admin Service) error appears to relate to something blocking access to the internet - what Anti-Virus and firewall are you using?
The ActiveX problem appears to indicate file corruption.
The File mismatch possibly indicates a corrupt registry.

with this variety of errors, it would be best to go back to basics and work from there -

Please run a full CHKDSK and SFC scan....
Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-click on the Command Prompt entry
Select Run as Administrator and accept the UAC prompt - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up.
    At the Command prompt, type
    CHKDSK C: /R
    and hit the Enter key.
You will be told that the drive is locked, and the CHKDSK will run at the next boot - hit the Y key, and then reboot.
The CHKDSK will take a few hours depending on the size of the drive, so be patient!
After the CHKDSK has run, Windows should boot normally (possibly after a second auto-reboot) - then run the SFC.

SFC -System File Checker - Instructions
Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-click on the Command Prompt entry
Select Run as Administrator and accept the UAC prompt - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up.
    At the Command prompt, type
    SFC /SCANNOW
    and hit the Enter key
Wait for the scan to finish - make a note of any error messages - and then reboot.

Upload the CBS.log file (compressed, please!) to your reply - also post a new MGADiag report.

Duh! Sure could be! - or at least part of it.
Although it's not the cause of the errors we're seeing, it's never going to activate anyhow.

    @Sharkie
Where did you come by this install? What media did you use?
Do you actually have a legal Windows license?

I will do the checks and tests you asked in a few moments, I'm posting to answer your question, yes. I purchase Windows 7 from Microsoft's website, and installed it by making my USB flash drive bootable.

EDIT: The flash drive is a PNY 32 GB, also this Windows 7 is installed on a solid state drive, it is a split partition, one half has windows vista, when I found out that didnt work with my processor/motherboard, I installed Windows 7 on the other partition.

EDIT2: The antivirus I am using is AVG, same for the firewall.

EDIT3: Okay, I have the CBS log, how would I upload it compressed? As in like a .rar file?

The Product Key is NOT one bought from Microsoft - and can never be legally activated on a retail motherboard.
From where did you download the installed Windows?
Please change The Key to the one given you by MS when you purchased the license, using the option at the bottom of the System properties page, then post a new MGADiag report.

Yes, you can either use the inbuilt Windows compression or RAR to upload the file.
