    Thanks

Just a quick note of thanks for link to direct download of update. I have spent literally hours checking forums, trying out different solutions all without success. Using windows update I was informed I was completely up-to-date which obviously I was not. Anyway link above installed update without problem and after restarting miracles of miracles the Get W10 icon is there

Maybe I should just forget about Windows and transfer to Linux!!!!

    Hi
I did have the link but then did a clean install of windows7 and now I don't have the link. I have run the download update and it says I already have the update installed. Still have no link icon. Will I still get Windows 10 even tho I don't have the download icon?
    Thanks. Brad

Whats the difference between the links with a "C" and with a "D" ?

    Like for Win 7 x86:

Also, are those files language specific ?

msu files usually have all languages in them - the system works out which ones it needs.

As to the c/d difference, it probably amounts to being on a different server farm, for load-balancing, nothing more. It can be ignored

Ok, but it canīt be ignored as in exclude it from the path...
    The C/D must be included.

Also, if I download both from my last post, they have different size.
So its not the same files...

Of course they are - they appear to be different updates (possibly different versions) - look at the hashkey in the filename.

Have issues with KB 3035583. I have Windows 7 and may upgrade to Win 10 later. I thought this update was shown as optional. But when I rebooted, it's now in the important category. Confusing !!

Anyway, I just looked through my update history and I find this same update number was installed on
    May 15, 2015.

Why am I getting the Update Icon every time I boot now. Just started this morning. I had the icon for a Windows DEFENDER update which I updated and forgot about it.

Do any of you have his update showing as installed on May 15 ?????????

    Thank you.

    GokAy

Yes, it was offered twice. Just rechecked my update history and it was installed on my machine on both 4/21 and 5/15.

And I was wrong in earlier post: it was not shown as Important ........ it was shown as
    Recommended.

I did a search on my PC for this update, and weirdly, it shows it was modified on 5/7 which is in between 4/21 and 5/15. This is so weird; it is freaking me out. There are NINE modifications, which show as packages, on 5/7.

It's being re-offered again now because it's been revised and re-issued.
