    Windows Update KB3020370 fail - Code 800B0100

    Hi.

    I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate (64-Bit).

I've been having this issue for some time now. Don't know the cause of this issue. I hope someone can help me out. I've tried downloading the update manually and installing it with no success -it does not give an error code though, just a text saying that it could not install the update.

I've downloaded SURT and ran it first, then I've run "sfc /verifyonly" in run/cmd. Attached are the results of that procedure (CBS 1.zip for SURT, CBS 2.zip for "sfc /verifyonly" method). & C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file. I've also added the only CbsPersist*.cab file I could add due to it's size to CBS 2.zip.

    Thanks in advance!

    I've uploaded a file - klkaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
    Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder klkaa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be two folders inside it (Manifests, and Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder
    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

And the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

You're sure about "C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\"? I don't have a folder inside the Temp folder named CheckSur; but I do have one "C:\Windows\CheckSur\".

I'm still going for the way you posted - "windir"\Temp\CheckSur\. Running the SURT right now.

I've uploaded the CBS file -excluding the cbspersist_*.cab files -they are just too big to be uploaded, even compressed.

    Here's the CheckSUR summary...
    Code:
    Seconds executed: 726
     Found 5 errors
     Fixed 5 errors
CSI Manifest All Zeros Total count: 2
Fixed: CSI Manifest All Zeros. Total count: 2
CBS MUM Corrupt Total count: 3
Fixed: CBS MUM Corrupt. Total count: 3
Fixed: CBS Paired File. Total count: 3
... so it's happy, at least.

Do a Check for Updates, and attempt to install ONLY the oldest update found.
If it goes in OK, try the rest.
If it fails, post the KB number, and the error message.

It finds only 1 update -the same one, KB3020370. And when I try to install it, it gives the same error: 800B0100.
