    Windows updates KB3023224 & KB3035490 Keeps installing

I have run all the steps from this post Windows Update Posting Instructions .

I am trying to attach the zipped up CBS folder but I think it's to big 40 MB. Any suggestions?

Hello Matt, and welcome to Seven Forums.

After you uninstall the updates, you can hide them to prevent them from being available to reinstall. :)

    Is that the best option?

It is a .NET security update and as I understand it these updates tend to have a lot of issues.

The update says it has been successfully installed. I go to the View Update History and the update has been installed and re-installed every day for the last 10 days.

Then I click check for updates and the exact same updates show up over and over again. It seems to me that hiding the updates is an easy solution, but I'm trying to fix the underlying reason that the updates keep showing up.

I tried to follow the instructions on Windows Update Posting
    • Installed SURT: Everything appeared clean
    • Ran SFC/ Scannow: Everything came back clean
    • I'm not getting any windows error codes.
    • I tried to upload CBS log file, but it is 40MB and I keep getting a failure message on this forum

I also downloaded both updates manually

    and tried to install them

    I get the following message

"Software Update KB3035490 Installation Wizard does not apply, or is blocked by another condition on your computer"
