Noel: did you have a chance to have a look at my problem? Is it something that can be fixed?

I need to have some of your SOFTWARE registry hive -

Please open Regedit, and navigate to the following key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SideBySide\Winners

Right-click on the folder, and select Export
Change the 'Save as type:' to Registry Hive Files
    Call the file scsreg
Save it, and compress the saved file before uploading it to your response.

    Sorry for the delays!

I can't see any reason why that Key shouldn't be amenable to the normal methods - there don't appear to be any corruption problems that I can see, apart from the obvious one.
However, there are signs that an associated key has been corrupted - and in a rather major way

    the subkey amd64_3d3b61ce6bea8828fda92c895abac0c7_31bf3856ad364e35_none_1fb9d59fc17488b8
contains most of the information in the whole key - and it shouldn't, so far as I can see.

I'm going to have to work out WTH to do with it - and how!

...back when I have something useful!
