    Can't access my Windows Updates

I just noticed I haven't gotten a updates message in a while and when I shecked the settings it says no action needed but when I try to open Windows Updates I get this

Yes I have rebooted several times.

I hope someone has a solution for this issue

    thanks

Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data

If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

Please also post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file

    Also...

Please download the Farbar Service Scanner from

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-service-scanner/

Right-click on the saved file and select 'Run as Administrator', and tick all the options, then click on the Scan button - copy and paste the report to your response.

This could be due to corruption in the SoftwareDistribution folder - the problem with that the conventional cure can lead to problems later on, if not handled properly, and you will lose your Update history (but the updates will still be installed, and viewable in the Installed Updates listing).

    Open an Elevated Command Prompt
    Run the following commands

    NET STOP WUAUSERV
    REN C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution SDOLD
    NET START WUAUSERV

    reboot
then wait 10 minutes, and open Windows Updates, and run a Check for Updates.

Install only the oldest update found - and reboot once installed
then go back to Windows updates and install the others.

That's not the tool I suggested you use - which is a much simpler one.

Please just follow the instructions given, and report back in detail if you have problems so we can try to explain the right area for you.

Sorry I disappointed you but I replied that I could not find the link to download your preferred tool. I get he page do not see a link for the download. Can you please post a direct link.

Also I forgot to mention I build a new computer and this is a new install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit and I have not been able to run windows updates, so there is no older update to work with.

Please Look up a few post and see the error window when I downloaded and ran the tool you wanted me to run.

I keep getting the error message.

I'm sorry it is getting very late I will come back and look for any replies tomorrow.
