Uninstall it, and do not be tempted into installing any similar scareware in future.

I found my Win 7 disk. I tried to run a repair but not sure I ran it correctly. Do you possibly have some instructions on the best method for repair?

Does that process essentially wipe all programs and start fresh?

No - it preserves installed programs and data, and most settings.
As always, it's best to make a backup to external media first, in case of disaster.

Windows repair or upgrade would not work. Did a fresh reload on the machine and started over. Thanks for your help!
