    Windows Update Error Code 80073712

    Hi,
I have the error code 80073712 when trying to apply only updates KB3020369 and KB3020370.
I tried first the sfc /scannow command as admin but I forgot what it did so I retried running it afterwards and it told me to restart the laptop to fix something so that's what I did but the error remained there.
Then I retried running the command again and it found nothing.

So I searched the forums and microsoft websites and I downloaded the System Update Readiness Tool and it prompted me to install the Hotfix for Windows (KB947821) but it hanged at "Installing Hotfix for Windows (KB947821) (update 1 of 1)... " so I waited for half an hour then closed it. I retried doing it again, and it installed successfully, I restarted my laptop but the windows error was still there. I retried running the tool and it showed me the same thing that it want to apply the KB947821 hotfix so it did but then the windows update error was still unresolved.

I didn't attach the CBS log files because they're huge and one of them is really huge and it gets bigger with time and it gives me an error while copying it but I attached a screenshot of the folder.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Pleasefollow the WindowsUpdate Posting Instructions and postthe requested data

If thefile is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files untilthe final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately afterzipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for anumber of reasons)

    Pleasealso post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file

As you can see in the attached picture above all the .cab files are close to 8 mb so I've just included the latest one with the other 3 .log files.
Then I tried resetting windows update by applying Microsoft Fix it 50202 in normal and aggressive modes but still the error wasn't resolved. And I've added the WindowsUpdate.log file.

    I've uploaded a file - trpaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive

    Please download and save it.

Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…

Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder trpaa in the same place.

Open this folder- there should be two folders inside it (Manifests, and Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

And the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

Okay I followed what you said.
Edit: Tried updating again, one of the updates worked and the other one failed, tried again and it worked (see screenshot). So is that it? Thanks a lot!
