    Hi Noel.

Sorry, but the error persists. Attached is the checksur log and below is a link to the components file.

Let me know if there is anything else we can try. Thanks.

Hi Noel. I'm not sure what your last post meant. Can you elaborate? Thanks.

My phone tends to lie to me about the size of attachments in the forum - as it did here (It looked like you'd zipped up a shortcut rather than the file itself).

As you say, the CheckSUR result hasn't changed

Let's try something a little different - it may give me a new angle on it.

Please download SFCFix from here... http://www.sysnative.com/niemiro/apps/SFCFix.exe and save it to your desktop (we'll need it later anyhow, I think)

Once saved, double-click on it and accept the warnings. It'll run, and create a file SFCFix.log on the desktop - please upload it to your reply.

    Hi Noel,

Some good news. It occurred to me to try to install the windows updates which gave the errors which started this trail. In spite the errors listed in the checksur log, I installed them successfully! I am now up to date on all my windows updates.

I reran sfcfix and sur. Now there are only two errors left. See attached files.

Below is the link for the latest components file.

The errors which started this trail has been fixed. Thank you for all your help!!!!

If you want me to try something else to fix the remaining checksur errors, please let me know. THANKS!!!!

    Great!
CheckSUR managed to fix a couple more errors (SFCFix managed nothing, disappointingly).

SO - all we have left now are these errors
    Code:
    Checking Packages
    (f)	CBS Registry Error	0x80070002	Microsoft-Windows-GroupPolicy-ClientTools-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~en-US~6.1.7601.17514 failed to get CurrentState

I'll try and work on them tonight.

    Hi Noel,

Any update on these last two errors?

    Thanks.
