    Update Error Code 800B0100


    SURT runs thinks its fixed stuff so if I run it again before updating... it doesn't find anything... Update still fails though

    SFC Scan Now finds nothing..

    I'm at a loss on what to do to fix this and hope you can help.

    I've uploaded a file - zsnaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive

    Please download and save it.

    Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…

    Extract to thedefault location - which will create a new folder zsnaa in the same place.
    Open this folder - there should be two folders inside it (Manifests ,and Packages)


    Copy the content of the Packages folder to thefolder

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

    And the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

    Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

    Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

    The manifest files basically tell Windows which files should be installed, so that it can check what files it needs. I have a large stock of Windows Updates, from which I extract the necessary files for these fixes

    CheckSUR is happy now

    Try Windows update - do a Check for Updates, and attempt to install ONLY the oldest found update. If it goes OK, try the rest.
    If it fails, post the C:\Windows\windowsupdate.log file.

    So. New Error code is 802400D Stuck on Package KB2509553. It has service pack 1 installed now though.

    That error code is a nice one - you simply need to use the standalone package to install the update...
