Multiple windows update Errors sfc /scannow shows corrupt

Ok I'll install MSE. I had two MSE updates available in optional updates yesterday. But they disappeared from windows update sometime yesterday not sure why they did. I'll manually download and install to tide me over. Might as well run a scan when its installed.

Sorry to keep bugging you I'm a rookie when it comes to these forums and it is hard for me to sit still. I want to keep researching solutions but I've definitely hit a brick wall on my own. I hope I haven't F***ed this up too bad!! Also sorry about the time difference didn't notice your location yesterday.

I'll run through all the steps above again, however this is the exact path I went down before I decided to run system restore Sunday. I restored the computer to the state before 4.5.2 was removed and I thought that resolved my .net framework issue from the OP.

Is it my imagination - or has the MSRT stopped installing? (did you Hide it - or is it finally installed/complete?)

Not your imagination I used the universal Extractor (before you told me it was a bad idea) on the installation file and afterwards I was able to run MSRT manually. After the scan completed presto the update went away, I have not idea why but apparently it was satisfied.

Over the past couple days I have used Aaron Stebner's tools with the following results:
1.) verification tool only recognized .net framework up to 3.5 all versions previous to 3.5 were verified as ok
2.) Before the OP I did already run the cleanup tool, however I ran a system restore afterwards thinking this reversed it.

If I run Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool it goes to a screen that says click next if I still have problems or finish if it is repaired. If I click next it runs about 1 inch of progress across the screen and never makes it any further. I let this program run for a couple hours and it never moved so I cancelled it.

My version of windows came pre-loaded on this computer and I don't have a disk. Will I need to reach out to Microsoft in the event that I need to do a system repair?

Its as if .net framework has already been uninstalled but it sill shows up in the windows uninstall list. However when I click uninstall/change it tells me it cannot find it. I'll try the steps listed above one more time.

I have other installation disks for other machines in the office. Not to ask all the rookie questions but is there any reason I cannot use a desktop disk to try and repair the Laptop? The windows 7 sticker is on the back of the Laptop so I'm covered there. Honestly I'm more worried about Microsoft office than I am about windows. This computer was purchased for work so the place we purchased from should be able to help if I have to go that route. How bad would it be to leave the computer alone and not repair the .net framework? The computer seems to be working fine just annoying that I cannot get .net framework to install. What applications require framework in order to run properly? Am I about to find a whole bunch of programs that cease to work normally or something like that.

I also assume I need to find an x64 version of windows for the repair install? I am worried I only have the 32 bit variety laying around the office, but I'll cross my fingers and take a look for one.

If I run the repair will I lose any data? Is the repair the same as a re-format? I'll need to backup the data if so...
