Did a windows update cause the drivers and removable devices to?

Be like here: How to Separate ?Devices and Drives? Section in Windows 8.1 Explorer ?This PC?? - AskVG

I think I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that on my windows 7 pc before I did some updates.

Or I may be mistaken and this is not happening. I think I solved it.

Why you think that site is going to hack you if you visit it?

But to answer your question: In Windows 8 and beyond remote drives and hard drives are grouped in the same category while in Windows 7 they are separate in the my computer folder.
