    Windows 10 Is Coming Soon

Sorry if already a topic, pleez provide link and delete this post if so.

As per this topic title, I am now seeing this every time I goto Control Panel>Windows Update. I followed the tutorial on ridding my machine of the taskbar/systray icon (via update uninstall) way back when. Today I got a 'updates available' notification bubble, cliked it and lo & behold, this huge message! I see that the update (KB303yadayada) I uninstalled returned for install availability and I went and 'hid' it. It is no longer in the list. However, this has not removed that glaring 'advertisement''. How to permanently remove? (if possible)

    thank you

yeah, yeah, I did all that ^, and all was well for weeks. I'll just hope all of this goes away once W10 arrives. City Hall wins this one.

You receive updates: For Windows and other products from Microsoft Update
FWIW: I had that nag pop-up, too. It disappeared once I removed "other products from Microsoft Updates".

I tried this. After clik ok I got a red warning instructing me to check for updates. After 'Check' completed It reported all-well. However, the "... coming soon" display re-appeared.

    fwiw.

hello again - As per the screen capture of the Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Windows Update image in my post #5. I have been unable to determine why I still have this? I have followed the suggested links provided (uninstalled KB's/hidden KB's etc. etc.). All w10 notification-area/taskbar/systray references are gone and this is well & good. However, I cannot seem to be ridden of the control panel's WU adware for v.10. With many tutorials offering multiple Options/Methods to accomplish tasks is it possible I picked a method/option that does not address this specific issue? Help. -thank you
