Windows 10 app icon will not show

    Hi ,
I recently had a crash and had to format and redo windows installation. After install the windows app icon was missing so I installed the updates KB3035583 + KB2952664. I checked to see if they were indeed installed and they were. I ran the System Update Readiness Tool and it showed no errors.
Can someone tell me how to get the windows 10 app icon back please before I pull all my hair out.

P.S Edit....CBS.zip will not upload here for some reason

I too have everything required to have a Windows 10 icon, but it's not there. KB2952664 installed some time ago and reinstalled today for some reason.

I have tried the alternate method of downloading the .bat file, but it states that I have to be an Administrator to run the program. I'm the only user on my computer and I DO have Administrator privileges.

The .bat file needs to be ran elevated. Go to where you saved the file, right click it, and choose run as administrator

When I right click it, I do not get an option of "Run as Administrator."

I ran cmd, selected Run as Administrator and tried the long version (option #3) first. It said it could not find a registry key, when ahead and ran, but under status it showed "N/A" as opposed to "Running." I shut that process down after about 3 minutes, then tried option #2, it said successful and that I should now have the icon. The icon did not appear.

I once again ran option #3, it immediately said installation was complete and that it might take up to and hour for the icon to appear. Also, if after an hour the icon still did not appear, it told me to reboot.

    I guess we'll see.

    Thanks for your advice!

Absolutely no luck at all! I've tried 3 different approaches to no avail.
