Windows 7: Not responding?

Thanks for posting all the links and assisting with your expertise.

This machine had W7 on it for the last 2 years and basically used by a noob like me to experiment, create restore delete backups, lots of multimedia deleted etc.

Recalled old days when used to perform a zero fill format before installing Windows. Did the same, used Debian iso media and performed a quick erase and a dod format and W7 Off and there updates installed like a charm.

Drive health is fine.

Since am so used to SSDs, do you feel that I should replace the 52K WD HDD with a SSD.....would have to reinstall W7 etc......another ordeal?

Thanks again.
