    Question on Microsoft Silverlight

I might not had a cup of coffee the other day, but I could have sworn I saw a Microsoft Silverlight update in my list of updates for my Windows 7 machine.

Currently my system is on version 5.1.40416 which I installed on 5-14-2015 from KB3056819.

A day later I went on the web and sure enough I see a newer version 5.1.40620, but when I went to the Microsoft Release history this one is not listed. I then went back to my updates on my machine and I do not see it in there either.

Was I just seeing things? Is 5.1.40620 truly an update to Silverlight? Or was an update there, had problems so Microsoft pulled it and all these other websites with 40620 have not pulled it yet?

Trying to get the skinny, thanks

If you go to the Microsoft Silverlight download site, the version they are providing is 5.1.40620.

My system, that contains all the latest updates from Microsoft Windows update, is at version 5.1.40416

Thanks for the quick reply pbcopter. So was there an update to 5.1.40620 via the Windows Update? I could have sworn that there was a KBxxxxxxx for this.

The reason I ask is I keep track of those.

I have not seen any update to Silverlight beyond the one that is installed in my system (5.1.40416).

I have also checked two other systems with the same result.

Don't know why Microsoft has a newer version that they have not provided by Windows update unless the differences are minor.

This update does exist and i saw it only for x32bit as stand-alone installer, but not on Windows Update though!
