Windows 7: clean install asking for username and password
I decided to try to fix an older computer. My mom used to play those flash games and clicked on every ad, eventually leading to a virus. The computer would boot into safe mode but wouldn't boot regularly without blue screening. After some troubleshooting to resolve the issue I decided to reinstall Windows 7. I did a clean install and ran into the issue where after the initial reboot during the installation process it brought up the login screen. Seeing as this computer has never had a user name or log in I was puzzled. I read some forums and it recommended to try to reinstall again, which I did with the same result. I am beyond frustrated and confused. I'm going on hour 10 of dealing with this computer and thinking that a hammer would serve it better.
Its a custom built computer running Windows 7 Premium 32 bit.
I know there is going to be that inevitable person that asks: well did you try to put in a user name or password? The answer is yes, I did. I've left it blank and used every combination that I can think of, nothing works. I can't get past this screen no matter what I try and rebooting does not help. It WILL NOT let me go into safe mode.
Please help!
Additional info: The Windows 7 disk is a valid disk bought from the store many years ago (2010-ish). I have the registration key and the packaging and everything, this is not a copy or pirated version.
