That is 1 of the issues people feared

This will certain intrigue Noeldp, the guru in this forum,

However in the mean time you could always try the phone validation option.

This happened to me after I upgraded the HD and then did an RMA on the motherboard. The serial number on the DVD wasn't enough. The phone activation worked like a charm.

I would try the serial number first. If you don't have it, the phone activation is your only alternative that I know of.

    What motherboard do you have?

Please complete this tutorial by Brink.

System Info - See Your System Specs

    The problem I'm seeing is:
    From your log.
    [QUOTE]
    Windows Product ID: 00426-OEM-8992662-00006[/QUOTE
    <Manufacturer>MSI</Manufacturer><Model>MS-7681</Model></SYSTEM><BIOS><Manufacturer>American Megatrends Inc
Which belongs to this type of computer.

    Win 7,Ultimate,ACER/GATEWAY/PACKARD,XXXXX-OEM-8992662-00006

That information indicates you have a counterfeit installation of Windows 7.

There is another to add to your list LBB, ( Noel has it as ?)
Ive got that motherboard on my tower, 32bit W7 Home premium version, 5+ years ago.
Bought from one of Britains biggest retailers Tesco.

If the OP comes back with his specs, I will confirm it.

I also suspect the system was upgraded, and he has used the wrong COA code

To the best of my knowledge a OEM/SLP is not going to work on a retail motherboard.

    Windows License Type: OEM SLP
My motherboard is MSI P67A-GD53 (MS-7681)
OEM Activation 2.0 Data--> BIOS valid for OA 2.0: yes, but no SLIC table
