    Cannot get windows updates

    Hello All
I am hoping for some help with a problem with windows 7 updates! I was getting my laptop ready for windows 10 upgrade, so I thought I would reinstall my windows 7 pro to have a clean start in windows 10, but after reinstalling windows 7 Pro, then activating online, I started downloading updates….. I am not sure how many I installed when I got a BSOD then shut down …. Then kept get BSOD on boot up, I had to use my install DVD to go back to the last restore point, that worked ok but now, when I click on check for windows updates it just hangs I have left it for a couple of hours…
Over the last couple of days I have tried the troubleshooting in control panel, it gets to the part saying checking for updates online and hangs! ……I have also tried renaming the Software Distribution folder in the windows folder, still no joy, I have downloaded and installed the System Update Readiness Tool it installed successfully,….. I have done a SFC scan all ok CBS folder to big to attached???

Your help will be very much appreciated

    Code:
    Summary:
    Seconds executed: 222
     Found 1 errors
CBS Catalog Missing Total count: 1

    Unavailable repair files:

    	servicing\packages\Package_1_for_KB3021917~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~6.1.1.3.cat

    I've uploaded a file - bo8aa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
    Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder bo8aa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be one folder inside it (Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder
    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.
