Windows 10 Upgrade Notification: No upgrade ready message
Since Windows 10 was announced that it will be free for Windows 7 and 8.1 users, that got me hyped up. There are many things I've found about Windows 10 that makes me want to have it such as DirectX 12 and Windows Aero (one of the reasons why I love Windows 7). I signed up to the Windows Insider Program and got a slow but interesting feel of the Windows 10 Preview on VMWare Player and now I'm ready for the real thing! I reserved the upgrade for Windows 10 when it comes on July 29th just to be ready.
Only problem, its August and I haven't been given a message that says Windows 10 is ready to install.
Now I've read that when Windows 10 was released on the day of its launch, that the Microsoft servers have been running at their limits since a lot of people have waited the day and received their Windows 10 upgrade. I've googled some forums as well to find any other problems associated with the Windows 10 upgrade but none of them matched my description. I have the Windows logo notification on the taskbar, it just hasn't told me that Windows 10 is ready to install.
Now I'm not saying that this is taking too long and I want Windows 10 now, I'm only just a little nervous about how long this keeps up. I really hope that this doesn't drag on all the way till next year when the free upgrade option has expired, but this isn't much of a concern. I've heard of a Windows 10 Media Creation Tool and I have downloaded it but I decided not to install Windows 10 this as I have school and all but I'd rather install when the notification says its ready and let nature take its course.
I also heard something about HP devices with Windows 10 as I use an HP laptop but I'm not sure if this is a reason why this is occurring. Overall, I'm just wondering on when the notification says its ready and how long it will take. And I know that Microsoft has a lot on its plate but I just hope that this doesn't take too long.
