Fully installed Win 10 with Windows activated. I suggest that this indicates that the Win 7 Ult OS was licensed but that some Windows Updates corrupted the 'licensing' and decided that the OS was a copy. Irrespective, my original aim to update has been achieved albeit with a lot of issues which took a great deal of time to research and eventually find solutions that worked. I have to admit frustration with the many so called fixes suggested by many Internet experts who simply re-iterated MS basic solutions that did not work. My biggest frustration was the de-activation by certain kb and, following MS recommendations to fully update before upgrading, which was not actually necessary, with attempted installation of Windows Updates often resulting in failures and changes that required a System Restore (from cmd in most cases) every other day. I hope this Windows 10 OS remains stable.

    Hi,
Since 10 is new there's no telling 10 varies from system to system as far as stability and just how many built in apps you might use.

But either way updating stuff is really not up to you as much anymore 10 does that by default now.
You might be able to delay an update but ultimately if on a good day they will download and install :)
