Hmm so is it recommended to just try the one with SP1? I saw links of some but when I tried to open the links it says file not found. I don't know if it's against the rules to post links but it goes something like this

All the Digital River downloads were removed by Microsoft back in February

There are currently no legal downloads available - there are a lot of what appear to be good alternative downloads available but I'm not allowed to recommend any here.
If you do get one of the alternative downloads, make sure that the downloaded ISO hash value matches the published one!

I think it's explained in the tutorial? - it seems not

I use this utility to find the Hash of any file - http://implbits.com/products/hashtab/
You can find the Hashes of the various Windows disks here...
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/subscript...dex=1&FileId=0

The SHA1 hash of the 32bit Win7 Pro RTM ISO file is
    SHA1: 697FA06554502FB21D30275273B25747299C020D

Looks like I downloaded the wrong version, I searched for the hash of the file I downloaded and it turns out to be the one with SP1 so no repair install for me. I'm still looking for the correct file at the moment and only now that I could check on my computer again since the typhoon came.

Edit: (20minutes after the failure)I think I just found the correct one by searching the hash that you gave me hahaha the file name is x15-65804 anyway could you still verify it by this file name?

Hahaha I'm laughing at myself so hard right now. I should've just asked for the file name for it turns out that I really downloaded the wrong file named X17-59183.

Anyways my download progress is at about 50% already so I'll just be doing the install tomorrow. Thanks again and I will be back at this thread for incoming updates on my progress. Cheers!

Okay so I just succeeded in installing the SP 1 and currently checking for updates. The problem now is it's taking forever checking for new updates. What can I do now? I tried stopping the windows update service thru cmd and re starting it but no luck
