    SFCFix folder attached as requested. Looking at the date, it looks like this was one of the many things I tried before finding this forum. Would it help deleting this folder and runing SFCfix with your Bitshift:: again?

    It looks like SFC never even got as far as adding the run to the existing history list
    This probably means that there is considerable corruption present.

    I think you may be best off attempting a repair install, if you have access to proper media

    Thanks for your help here Noel. I'll backup everything and read through the repair install thread before it gets critical. I suspect I'll have problems only having the OEM disk but that challenge is for another day....month. Thanks Dave

    Final feedback and thanks. I downloaded an ISO repair file from a microsoft link I think Brink posted in the repair install thread, followed the instructions there and many hours and update downloads later all is working perfectly again. Thanks again Noel for all your help here. Marked solved.
