Anyone know if the patch KB3079904 was canceled or something similar ?

This patch is the month of July and for reading there was a percentage of users who had some problems after installing this patch I decided to postpone it for a few days.

Yesterday I installed some patches but I noticed that the KB3079904 is not on the list. There is all those are that deal with W10 but not the 04.

You know if it has been postponed patch for the inconvenience caused some users ?

I'll see if displayed at night in the list.

    Cheers.

If Windows Update doesn't want it, it won't offer it - it's that simple.
KB3079904 is a security update released 16 July - are you sure it hasn't already been installed?

I not installed because I do not decided to do it for having caused some problems for a number of users. These are some :

    - Security update KB3079904 caused all kinds of problems. - Microsoft Community
    - Bork Tuesday, Any Problems Yet? | Page 34 | Wilders Security Forums

They appear all but minus the KB3079904. It will be by comments from the link above ?

    Weird or normal ?

Is there any way the latest patches August include that(KB3079904) ? And it's possible that vulnerability has been covered by an updated antivirus ? Because apparently Norton users are protected :

You can download that KB 3079904 update from this MS website. This is the 64 bit version which should suit your computer, as your System Specs show you are using the 64 bit version of Windows 7.

Download Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3079904) from Official Microsoft Download Center

Ranger4 : Thanks for the link. I will download and tonight or tomorrow would be installed.

    But before...

NoelDP : But I wonder why does not appear in the list of patches. Is it because the anti-virus is covering this vulnerability ? As does Norton for your users : Microsoft releases emergency patch for all versions of Windows | Norton Community. Since it may be taking for example the possibility that a anti virus disables Windows Defender can also happen with patches ?

It is that I get discouraged by the reviews here : Security update KB3079904 caused all kinds of problems. - Microsoft Community (107 people had this question).

It seems that for some people, this update caused problems.
Others had no problem with it.
Bear in mind that there are something like 1.5 BILLION licenses for Windows 7 out there - there are bound to be a few 'failures', some of which will be because the update wasn't 'perfect', but the majority of the reported failures I suspect are because of other factors (perhaps they had pre-existing problems, or just wanted to pin a failure on a 'known' problem).
107 people 'the same problem' wouldn't be beyond statistical zero.

I've had WGA threads where I've had to split users out because their 'me too' problem was demonstrably different to the original post even at a quick glance.
Many of the 'me too' counts in the Answers/Community forums are from people who don't actually have the same problem - they are merely agreeing with a post somewhere in the thread (which is one reason why I hate the 'scoring' system there), and consequently irrelevant to the OP.

You're right, there also other factors that enter consider. But why no longer appears in the list. Never one has disappeared. They have been unmarked or gathering dust. It has something to do with being listed as "Out of Band" ? Or as mentioned above may be covered by the anti virus ?

I wonder if those who have it installed, uninstalled it, the patch will reappear ?
