    Another slui.exe access denied problem.

I've been browsing around here and I'm going to try to make this easy, since I can guess how inundated this forum is with these requests. I have not done a diagnostic scan, but would be happy to do one if needed.

    - Installed Win7 from .iso through student discount a couple years ago. Lets say 5 year ago.
    - Computer tanked, so I bought a new mobo. Let's say 1 year ago.
    - I didn't have my original Win7 key, so friend put a cracked Win7 back on my HDD, and ran WAT remover to solve that annoyance. Also 1 year ago. I had to run WAT a few times. As an aside, should I be guilt-free, as I once purchased win7 legit?
    - I bought a new GPU and SSD. This was a couple days ago.
    - Wanted to put Win7 or 10 on my new SSD and start running from there.
    - Found this info:
"Last weekend I got an SSD for the old laptop. Upgraded from 7 to 10 on the old HDD first, downloaded the media creator tool and created a bootable flash drive, installed the SSD and installed Windows 10 as a fresh installation. Skipped both times it asked for a product ID, and it activated as soon as it connected to the internet.
Really easy stuff, but it took a bit of Googling to make sure it was correct, first. The information and step-by-step guides have all been out there for a little while now."
    - Tried to upgrade my HDD to win10.
    - Every option to activate windows met with .slui denial.
    - I've browsed around, but every solution seemed unique to those users.

    What can I do?

EDIT: I have also run a .vbs script and it popped up my Win7 key. I'm assuming it's mine? Either way, it's a key.

Please follow this tutorial and post an MGADiag report - then we can see what the problem is.

Windows Genuine and Activation Issue Posting Instructions

Ignore errors produced when clicking on the Copy button - they simply mean that the tool could not create the backup files for some reason. The data is still copied to the clipboard for pasting to your response.

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

The installed Key is a KMS Volume License Key
There are also signs of the presence of an Activation Exploit - which automatically makes any install counterfeit.

You need to reformat and reinstall using genuine media and Key (without installing said exploit.)

Contact the System Admin of the school you got Windows from and see if they will allow you to re-activate on their servers. If not, then you'll have to purchase a new license.
