Do a Check for Updates - it should work now (but could take an hour or so)

OK - we have a bit of a conflict here between the CheckSUR data and the CBS data
The CheckSUR run was clear, but the SFC data says that there are a number of problems which the CheckSUR tool should have picked up.

Please run CheckSUR again, and post the new CheckSUR.log file.

Here's what I see in the latest CBSPersist file...
    Code:
Line 142: MissingWinningComponentKey on resource [100]"amd64_microsoft-windows-a..rience-program-data_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_cd5d43db9cb990bc"[gle=0x80004005]

    - and in the CBS.log there's these...
    Code:

This is not good for one reason if no other - I have enough problems dealing with MissingComponentKeys when they appear in a CheckSUR report, let alone MissingWinningComponentKeys when they don't!

I really think your best option is going to be a repair install - if you have the media available

It needs to be Home Premium 64-bit without SP1 - if it is, it should work.
See here for the details of the process... Repair Install

That is gonna be tough to do. Only way to get a download install is from microsoft by entering the key on the laptop and i tried it and they refer me to dell. And my disk is for service pack 1. >_< I'm at a loss on how to proceed.

You can try it with your disk - but it will probably fail because of SP1
There are downloads available (which apparently even MS techs use) but forum rules prevent me from pointing you at them directly.
